Bartłomiej Ostapczuk

Actor-mime, director of visual theater performances, choreographer, stage movement creator, pantomime teacher. Artistic director of the International Mime Art Festival in Warsaw. Initiator and founder of the Warsaw Pantomime Center, Mime Theater Mimo. Manages, implements, and creates projects and artistic productions in the field of pantomime theater, visual theater, and theatrical education. Since 2005, he has been running the Pantomime Studio in Warsaw. He also guest teaches pantomime theater at drama schools in Poland and abroad. Between 1998-2001, he was an actor at the Warsaw Pantomime Theater and the Mime Studio. He studied theatrical art in Poland, the USA, and Spain. 

Since 1997, as an actor, he has appeared in over 45 theatrical performances. Theater creators he has collaborated with as an actor during theatrical productions include Robert Wilson, Lionel Menard, Anton Adasinski, Joahim Freyer, Petrem Bochac, Nicholas Johnson, Gregg Goldston, Leszek Mądzik, Mariusz Treliński, Krzysztof Warlikowski, Mikołaj Grabowski, Laco Adamik, Tomasz Konina, Waldemar Raźniak, Łukasz Barczyk, Jerzy Gruza.

He has performed on theatrical stages in Japan, Puerto Rico, the United States, England, Germany, China, Lithuania, Russia, France, Poland, Israel, South Korea, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, New Zealand, Portugal, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Norway. 

Author of the book "Warsaw Mime - The Art Beyond Words 1970-2023". 

Recipient of theatrical awards and honors in Poland and internationally, including: the Grand Prix of the One-Actor Theater Festival (Warsaw 2003) and Best Script and Direction - Komediada Festival, Ukraine/Odessa (2014). 

In 2020, he received the Medal of the President of the City of Lublin "in recognition of achievements in artistic work and for contribution to the development of the Polish theater scene". 

In 2022, he was the recipient of the Pro Mazovia Medal "For outstanding contributions and overall activity for the benefit of the Mazovian Voivodeship". In 2023, he was the laureate of the "Kurpik 2022" award in the Talent category, granted by the Kurpie Union for writing and directing the play "Dream, Kurpie, Dream". 

In 2023, he was awarded the Bronze Medal "Merit to Culture - Gloria Artis", granted by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
